How to Flash Firmware

Use the corresponding flashing guide for the keyboard MCU that you have.

For QMK/Vial firmware – Pro Micros

1. Download and install QMK Toolbox from here
2. Download your keyboard’s QMK/Vial firmware here
3. Connect your MCU to your PC via USB
4. Press the Reset Button on your keyboard
5. Press the Flash Button on QMK Toolbox
6. Wait for the success message before unplugging your MCU
7. Repeat for each MCU (splits have 2)

For ZMK firmware – Nice!Nanos

1. Download your keyboard’s ZMK firmware here and unzip the files, each half has a distinct firmware
2. Connect your MCU to your PC via USB
3. Put your MCU in bootloader mode, for Nice!Nanos double press the reset button, a USB storage device should show up on your computer
4. Copy and paste the corresponding half’s firmware onto the Nice!Nano storage device the MCU created
5. Repeat for the other half

If you continue to have issues, use the reset method below before attempting the above again.

Resetting Nice!Nanos

1. Download the reset firmware here
2. Connect your MCU to your PC via USB
3. Put your MCU in bootloader mode, for Nice!Nanos double press the reset button, a USB storage device should show up on your computer
4. Copy and paste the reset file onto the Nice!Nano storage device the MCU created
5. Repeat for the other half

If you were in the process of flashing firmware, you may now do so at this point and follow the instructions above for your MCU.
